Helloo I made these a few weeks ago to practice colors. These were done from photo reference. Although, I would love to paint on the computer atop a snowy mountain some day!
Well school is back in session for me. Pretty excited about it and really starting to like Corel Painter 11. Here is a Sargent master copy. Im still trying to learn most of the capabilities here and the new brushes.
I have been studying and getting myself ready for the upcoming fall semester at Academy of art. These are some recent sketches I have done in my Moleskine.
I can honestly say that Joey Velasco is one of the most inspirational artists I have ever come across. His insane dedication to his art, his family, his community, and to God are qualities everyone can admire. I respect this man very much and I hope you can take a chance to read up on his story and take a look at his art here:
"It is with deep sadness that we share the news of our dear friend, Joey Velasco’s recent passing. He suffered from a heart attack and seizures a few days ago. Kindly offer prayers for the eternal rest of his soul. May perpetual light shine upon him..."
"Everyone knows he's going to die, but nobody seems to be completely and absolutely prepared for it. Nobody lives each day ready to die; life should be lived to the full each day."
i've started to come up with a new story for some of my personal work. It deals with a father and daughter on a fishing trip. Here are a few samples of my first sketches of fish. I will ultimately create my own fish species, but I need to sketch a few more fishes for reference. These few were done with colored pencil.
I am currently a Concept Artist for Disney Interactive. I draw, paint, eat, laugh, sleep, love, hug, and play fantasy football.
